_ Bio: Ryuji Iwasaki was born in Osaka Prefecture. After graduating from the Osaka College of Art and Design in 2000, Iwaskai set up his studio in Tondabayashi, Osaka Prefecture, in 2012. Iwasaki works with porcelain with close attention to colour and glaze details. Colour being an essential part of Iwasaki’s work, each piece is a study of variations in hues and colour, made carefully by the number of glazes, ratio of the mixtures and how the glazes are applied and fired.
